I just listened to “Colloquia at Capella University.” In preparing to attend my first colloquium in July, I am a bit nervous. Dr. Patrick really energized me and now I am excited to attend. Thanks for offering this pod cast.

Good Evening Amy,
I graduated in June, 2008 with an MS Human Services, Criminal Justice. Please forward a list of Human Services, Criminal Justice alumni here in Raleigh/Durham/Cary. I would like to contact them for advise on getting a job.
Kind regards,
Loretta Faheem

Hello,
I am responding to the request for alumni information in a specific region of the United States. Capella has two ways to connect with alumni in your state.
1) Use the Alumni Directory link located on iGuide under “Capella Directories”. You can search by school and state and will be given all of the alumni who have made their directory information public.
2) Use LinkedIn to search for Capella connections in your zip code. For more information about LinkedIn, visit the Capella Career Center by following this path:
iGuide > Learner Services > Career Center > Connecting with Others > LinkedIn
I hope that helps!
Take care,

I need some help finding a place for my Practicum and Internship. I am currently living in New York. I am in the Masters Mental Health Program. I have contacted all the places that Capella have provided on it’s list.
Can someone please help me?
Thanks Carol

Hi! Capella is one of the online schools that I am researching to determine if I may pursue an online program with them. I am also looking at private universities with onground programs. One of the things that is important to me is career services. I reviewed your career services PDF, and it helped me to understand some of the ways you help students. If I was a Capella student, would I have the option of completing a career assessment throuh your office like the Myers Briggs or Strong Inventory? Would I have to pay for these assessments or would my tuition payment cover the expense? I was also trying to get a copy of your career guide. I emailed an enrollment counselor twice to ask if they could email a copy, but I have not yet received it. Thanks! — Maria Rosette
