    I live in NJ and am in the MS with Mental Health specialization program. Where in NJ are you looking to do your internship hours? I live in Northern NJ and can suggest a few inpatient/hospital settings if that is what you are looking for.

    I started my MS in Mental Health Counseling last April and I’m so glad I decided to return to school. I also received my Bachelor’s degree online (with University of Phoenix) so I’m familiar with the online dynamics. I like the flexibility it provides and the diversity of people involved.     Hi…I just completed my first class online in MS in Mental Health Counseling. I have been out of school for 21 years and would like to find and adventurous soul willing to mentor in my journey. I struggle with writing and I know that I need to learn the APA Writing Style 6th edition in order to complete the process. Any suggestions?

    Hello Evelyn Collins:

    I just read your email and also being a mature learner have found many difficulties along the way. I am currently in the MS program, and have been attending online since May, 09. I enjoy the school, and would offer this advise for you. Go slow, repeat your questions as often as is necessary to fully get the meaning of either your instructor or your peers. As for writing, I would strongly recommend the writing clinic. Nothing can replace things that you learn and learn well. Hope all of your semesters have gone well so far.

    I am inspired by the comments I read from Debra Baker and Mary Green. Debra is seems to be a non-traditional student and a baby boomer, so am I Mary’s field of study is the program I am looking forward to, Summer Class of Sept 2010. Both have inspired and encouraged me. It is a little scary returning to school and being a boomer. I plan to take it slow, ask questions second time, if not understanding firt time. All basic principles we learned long ago. Thank you Ladies. I look forward to great communications with you.

    I was just accepted into Capella PhD program for Business with specialization in Accounting starting January 2011. I am a graduate of Keller Graduate school of Mgmt with Masters in Accounting and Financial Mgmt but I have not taken completely an online class before. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. I live in the Metro-Atlanta, GA area and wouldn’t mind getting intouch with anyone in the immediate vacinity (Sonja Smith and Rosemary Williamson).     Hi. I’m a first year graduate student at Capella studying Instructional Design. This is a large step forward for me as I told myself after graduation in 1984 that I would pursue my masters some day. And here I am! Better late than never, I guess.

    If there are students in Omaha NE enrolled in the same course beginning December 6, 2010, I’d love to speak with you. Even if you’re not in Omaha but will be in this class, please feel free to respond.
